Besides, Tamim Iqbal wrote on his Facebook page, ‘A humble tribute to the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Let the sacrifice of the father of the nation be the inspiration for the new generation. '
Though not in the country due to family reasons, Shakib Al Hasan, the world's best all-rounder of the Bangladesh national cricket team, also paid homage to Bangabandhu's birthday. He thinks that today's Bangladesh stands on the basis of Bangabandhu's goals and plans.
Shakib wrote, ‘Bangladesh is standing on your shoulders. No matter what, we are always eager to give our best. Your far-reaching thoughts inspire us to move forward.
